Get engaged, love your city and attend Transform Rockford’s Rockford Day Pop-Up on August 15. Join us downtown Rockford in the alley next to Wired Café (414 E. State Street) from 11 AM – 2 PM for networking, giveaways + fun! Transform Rockford volunteers will be on-site asking residents “why they love Rockford” and one lucky person will win $100 to spend anywhere in the “815”, thanks to Midland States Bank. Plus, we will have other fun goodies and giveaways. This unique and fun Pop-Up provides a way for residents to get engaged in Transform Rockford, a movement designed to rally and guide all of us living in the Rockford region to see Rockford in a new light – one of opportunity, innovation and desirability.
“Rockford Day is the perfect opportunity to showcase the people, places and things that make the Rockford Region great,” said Transform Rockford Executive Director David Sidney. “We’re encouraging residents who are looking for something to do, or who will be out and about on their lunch hour that day, to stop by our booth and network with our volunteers, share why they love Rockford and join us on the journey to transform our region.”
Rockford Day is made possible by several Rockford Community Partners and is held annually on August 15. Rockford Day aims to showcase the people, places and things that make Rockford great with fun and interactive experiences throughout the city. This is one of several pop-up events Transform Rockford has hosted in 2019. The goal of the events is to bring together the community in unexpected and new places, building vibrancy and community growth while ultimately leaving residents feeling proud of where they live.
